- Performed a/c psi check, reclaimed R134a. found system down 4 oz. however not problem enough to cause a/C issue. Performed Computer diagnostic on system. Looked at data pid list for a/c found system not commanding triple psi switch on. Further diagnostics needed
- R&R A/c control unit. checked pin out on back of unit. Performed pin out on a/c psi switch found no voltage on w/orange wire. Found same wire check back of a/c control unit and found no power. Traced circuit to EVAP core temp sensor. found temp sensor to be shorted to ground. Needs EVAP core temp sensor. Advised customer of issue. Provided 2 option Option 1 Replaced a/C evaporator and sensor Est $2500 Option 2 Install 5800 ohm resistor inline of EVAP sensor $250
- Installed 5800k ohm resistor inline and removed EVAP core temp sensor from a/c system. Due to the fact that system has whats called a triple psi sensor 2nd dairy fail safe if system over psi itself this switch will kick compressor off
